Achievement

Dear Parents
I have a question.
What is happiness?
Is it really about getting good grades, getting admission in the best institutions, getting a good job, earning a bucket-load of money, marrying and having kids and then turning into the role of a parent?
How can there only be a few fixed steps to achievement?
So, if we don't do what society speaks of 'true achievement' then we are worthless?
If your mind has reached a saturation point and nothing makes sense, the solution cant be start doing something, like pursing further academic interests.
You really care about what society thinks?
Or you are actually afraid of us being a failure and not being able to tell the society how your daughter or son is much better than the other one's?
Society is made of such people who only turn up to you when they need something and don't think twice to be part of the mob and call you 'immoral' if you don't follow the 'normal' path.
If family wont understand, who will?
Is love so conditional that if we don't follow your path or suggestions then we will be cursed by you to be doomed forever?
So writing, singing or any activity which brings us joy is foolish and only reaching the "top" before anyone is what is really significant?
Don't burden your children with such words that will break their spirit.
For we all know, what happens when the soul shatters.
Ask your children today what is paining them, if they need guidance, discuss with them what will make them happy.
We don't want the most expensive gadget or dress, we just want to have some time to our-self to figure things out.
Everything needs time, even the flowers need time to bloom :')
